YMCA of the Suncoast - Hernando County Branch
Branch Executive Director

2008 - Present
Spring Hill, Florida

Overall responsibility for 9500 member full-facility YMCA with an annual budget of 2.4 million dollars. Directly supervise all departments to include Membership, Family and Teens, Youth and Adult Sports, Aquatics, Wellness and Maintenance. Supervise 4 full-time exempt directors, 6 full-time hourly coordinators and 98 part-time staff. Work directly with 30 member, volunteer branch advisory board to insure sound fiscal and operational practices and fulfillment of Mission.
Directly supervise and facilitate annual support campaign with 2008 goal of $120,000.
Responsible for monthly financial performance, explanation of variances and implementation of action plans. A highly visible position in the community, frequently gave presentations to local service organizations, schools and participation in the Hernando County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program. Actively involved at YMCA of the Suncoast Association level. These duties include representation of Hernando Branch at monthly aquatic, membership and wellness team meetings, quarterly teach the New Employee Orientations to all new employees, participate in the recruitment and retention committee and serve as the relationship point person for the roll-out of the Activate America Initiative.
